How Siva Towing handles personal data.

What this notice covers

This notice explains how Siva Towing and Transportation Pte Ltd (UEN 201942369Z), referred to as “Siva”, collects, uses, discloses, protects and retains personal data in connection with enquiries, motorcycle towing and transport, the separate job portal and this website. It is written with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”) in mind.

Personal data Siva may collect

Depending on the enquiry or job, personal data may include your name, phone number, email address, pickup and destination locations, motorcycle and registration details, photographs, messages, payment or transaction records, authority or appointment information, and the identity or contact details of an authorised handover person.

This information may come directly from you, from someone authorised to arrange transport for you, from a receiving workshop or organisation, or from a public source where relevant. Please provide another person’s details only when you are authorised to do so.

Purposes for collection, use and disclosure

Siva will notify you of the relevant purpose at or before collection where required. Information may be used or disclosed only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances, including:

• Assessing, quoting, arranging and completing motorcycle towing, recovery or planned transport.
• Contacting you about location, access, timing, motorcycle condition, destination and handover.
• Coordinating with an authorised driver, workshop, receiving party, authority or service provider involved in the request.
• Processing payments and maintaining operational, safety, accounting and service records.
• Handling questions, feedback, complaints, disputes, insurance-related correspondence or legal obligations.
• Protecting people, motorcycles, systems and Siva’s legitimate business operations.

Consent and withdrawal

Where consent is the applicable basis, you may withdraw it by contacting Siva with reasonable notice. Withdrawal does not affect collection, use or disclosure already carried out with valid consent, and it may prevent Siva from continuing an enquiry or service that requires the information. Some processing may still be permitted or required without consent under Singapore law.

Phone, WhatsApp and email

When you use a third-party communication service, that provider also processes information under its own terms and privacy practices. Avoid sending identity documents, financial credentials or other sensitive material unless Siva confirms that it is relevant to the specific job and explains an appropriate way to provide it.

The separate job portal

Structured job details are submitted through the Siva Towing job portal so the team can assess and coordinate towing requests. Submit only information relevant to the job and avoid including unnecessary sensitive details.

Website measurement and analytics

The website uses a first-party, session-based counter to understand page visits and clicks on Call, WhatsApp, email and job-portal links. It classifies acquisition into broad groups such as organic search, Google Ads, direct, referral and social traffic so Siva can compare which routes lead to service enquiries.

The counter stores a one-way pseudonymous session key, page path, broad traffic source, referring hostname (domain only), a sanitised campaign label when supplied, coarse device class, CTA channel and placement, and timestamps. It does not store raw IP addresses, full browser identifiers, Google click-ID values, URL query strings, full referrer URLs, contact details or job-form content. Browser Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals disable this measurement. The browser session key expires after 30 minutes of inactivity.

A click records intent to contact Siva; it does not prove that a phone call connected, a WhatsApp message was sent or a portal request was completed. Access to aggregate reports is password-protected.

Google Analytics 4 may also be enabled for this website to measure visits and understand how people use the site. Google Analytics may process device, browser, interaction and approximate-location information and may use browser identifiers in accordance with Google’s own privacy terms. Visitors can limit this through browser privacy settings, blocking tools or Google’s Analytics opt-out controls.

Google reviews and external links

The reviews page retrieves public review information from Google, such as reviewer display name, rating, review text and publication information. Siva links back to Google for the source and complete listing. Visiting Google, WhatsApp or another external service is subject to that provider’s own privacy practices.

Sharing and service providers

Personal data may be disclosed only as reasonably needed to staff, authorised drivers, workshops, receiving parties, payment or technology providers, professional advisers, insurers or authorities connected with the request or a legal obligation. Providers are expected to handle the data for the agreed purpose and with appropriate protection. Siva does not sell customer contact details.

Transfers outside Singapore

Some communications and technology providers may process or store information outside Singapore. Where the PDPA’s transfer limitation applies, Siva will take steps intended to ensure a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA, such as using provider terms or contractual safeguards appropriate to the service.

Accuracy and protection

Please tell Siva when important job or contact information changes. Reasonable steps will be taken to keep personal data complete and accurate where it is likely to be used to make a decision affecting you or disclosed to another organisation.

Siva uses reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information and service. These may include limited access, protected operational systems, minimised website measurement and restricted reporting. No online, mobile or messaging channel can be guaranteed completely secure.

Retention

Personal data is retained only while its purpose remains necessary for service, business records, disputes or applicable obligations, after which it should be deleted or anonymised when retention no longer serves a legal or business purpose. Pseudonymous website-measurement records have a 400-day retention policy and are removed on the next dashboard maintenance run after expiry. Public Google review data is refreshed periodically.

Access, correction and privacy requests

You may contact Siva to ask about personal data in Siva’s possession or control, how it has been used or disclosed within the applicable period, or to request correction of an error or omission. Siva may need to verify your identity and may apply lawful exceptions, procedures or a reasonable fee where permitted. Some records may need to be retained even after a request.

Data incidents and complaints

Suspected data incidents are assessed and contained, and affected individuals and Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Commission will be notified when required by law. Send privacy questions or complaints to the data protection contact below with enough information for Siva to identify and respond to the issue.

Marketing and Do Not Call preferences

Siva may send service-related communications needed for an enquiry or job. Marketing messages, if any, will be handled in accordance with applicable consent and Singapore Do Not Call requirements. You may ask Siva to stop optional marketing messages through the same channel or privacy contact.

Updates to this notice

This notice may be updated when services, technology or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
